On February 14, 2026, Adab Saraae International, Islamabad, hosted a distinguished evening of academic prestige where the Honorary Doctorate Degree ceremony and the formal recognition of the Nobel New York Prize USA were held on the same stage, including announcements of new awards and nominations.
The university program was represented by Dr. Saaima Jabeen (Partner President), Dr. Sikandar Murtaza (Program Vice President), and Dr. Madiha Batool (Program Vice President – NMV). Adab Saraae International was represented by its senior officials Eman Farooq, Prof. Nomana Farooq, and Ahmed Farooq. The Guest of Honor was Prof. Sajal Malik.
This distinguished ceremony was primarily organized in honor of Dr. Shahnaz Muzammil upon the conferment of the prestigious Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in recognition of her lifelong and exceptional contributions to Urdu literature, education, research, community service, and the promotion of literary and cultural values. The event celebrated her remarkable academic, literary, and humanitarian achievements while bringing together scholars, writers, educators, and distinguished guests to acknowledge her enduring legacy and outstanding service to society.

The event reflected a strong blend of international academic collaboration and literary excellence.
The ceremony was organized under the patronage and guidance of Professor Dr. Tony J, Partner Founder and President of UNI American Eagles and Nobel New York Prize USA, and Chancellor of multiple American universities. He serves as Partner President of more than 20 American universities on the USA Gates platform and also holds the position of Vice President at the United Nations, New York, through the Asian American Cultural Center and RMC Germany, highlighting his global academic and diplomatic role.
The first segment featured the presentation of the Honorary Doctorate Degree to Dr. Shahnaz Muzammil, a renowned and influential figure in Urdu literature. Dr. Shahnaz Muzammil is one of Pakistan’s most respected literary personalities, widely recognized as “Mother of Dabistan-e-Lahore.” She is the Founder and Chairperson of Adab Saraae International, an organization that has been promoting literature, education, and cultural activities since 1987. A distinguished poet, researcher, educationist, and author of numerous books in Urdu and Punjabi, her literary works include poetry, Hamd, Naat, research publications, and the poetic interpretation of the Holy Qur’an. She has also served in government service after completing higher education in Library Science and has represented Pakistan through literary, educational, and cultural forums nationally and internationally. Under her leadership, Adab Saraae International has organized thousands of literary events, published the quarterly Adab Saraae International magazine since 1988, encouraged emerging writers through free literary activities, and established the Shahnaz Muzammil Adbi Awards to recognize outstanding scholars, researchers, poets, journalists, and literary organizations. Her lifelong services to literature and education have earned her numerous national and international awards, while several M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. research studies have been conducted on her literary contributions, reflecting her lasting influence on contemporary Urdu literature and literary scholarship.

In recognition of her services, Royal American University conferred upon her the Honorary Doctorate Degree — a tradition dating back to 1470 at the University of Oxford and regarded worldwide as a symbol of academic distinction.
The second segment formally introduced and recognized the Nobel New York Prize USA. Its inaugural ceremony was held on May 2, 2025, at the United Nations, New York, chaired by Dr. Ali Rekkbie, Partner Owner of 20 American Universities, where the award was launched globally.
Distinguished recipients of the Nobel New York Prize USA include His Excellency Donald J. Trump (award received by Qaiser Mustafa Bhatta, President of the Pakistani Republic Party), His Excellency Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada; U.S. Congress member Gregory Meeks; Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, Canada; Partner Presidents of UNI American Eagles Dr. Saaima Jabeen and Dr. Sana Rashid; Hobert Brownstein’s and CEO Nick Wilson of a Canadian Immigration firm; and Canadian Immigration Consultant Dr. Karishma Sharma.
During the program, the Nobel New York Prize USA honor for newly appointed New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was announced. The nomination of Dr. Laila Tul Qadr was declared, and Pakistani scholar Dr. Subayyal Ikram received the Nobel New York Prize USA upon the nomination of Dr. Maimoona Shaheen Ahmad.
On February 14, Dr. Saaima Jabeen, as Partner President, formally announced the Nobel New York Prize USA Award for Dr. Sikandar Murtaza (Program Vice President, UNI American Eagles) in recognition of his three decades of social and academic services and his significant role on the university board. She also officially announced the nomination of Dr. Madiha Batool for the Nobel New York Prize USA.
Dr. Madiha Batool, known as “Unsinkable Soul,” is an active social worker with numerous national and international honors. She has organized multiple American university programs and has been awarded an American Honorary Doctorate Degree. She presented the vision of American universities, congratulated Dr. Shahnaz Muzammil and Dr. Sikandar Murtaza on their honors, and expressed gratitude to the university for her Nobel New York Prize USA nomination.
Distinct programs related to these honors have been held in the United States, Canada, and Asia. In 2024, for the first time in history, an American Honorary Doctorate Degree ceremony was held at Aligarh Muslim University, India, represented by Dr. Ana Dehlavi.
